Anthony brings significant experience in a number of high-performance teaching and teams, research, entrepreneurial and executive roles. Specifically, it is his linkage of industry and teams through statistical analytics that he is best known. As an Associate Professor, Chair, Head of Learning and Teaching, Deputy Head and Director, he brings experience in governance, leadership and directorship, and has had various roles on academic, appeals, committee and industry boards.
He served as Deputy Chair of the Academic Development Board with the Pro Vice Chancellor of Teaching and Learning at RMIT University, and as Head of Teaching and Learning, was responsible for Program/Degree changes, staffing changes, retreats, and cultural and motivational improvements. He has been involved in Industry consultations, and managerial changes, and had a strong focus on establishing links with Industry for research, revenue and linkage opportunities, all through an analytical lense.
Professionally, he has been honoured to be Chair of Mathsport Australia since 2008, and the Rest of the World Representative for MathSport International. As a statistical and educational expert, he has been privileged to work on a wide variety of industry-related innovations, including a large number of consultancies and research projects, including at the highest level in Australian and New Zealand sport (4 Comm Games and 2 Olympics as Performance analyst, 5 SSN Finals Campaigns, 3 Grand Finals), various medicine/public health projects, statistical pedagogy, high school outreach, business and OH&S. He won a (then) ALTC Citation award, and his career as an educator has spanned thousands of alumni over 20 years, including in statistics, epidemiology, sports statistics, research methods, mathematics, medical statistics, medical research, and public health.
It is his work with Leadership and High-Performance Teams that set him aside, including numerous projects on objectively measuring organisations and systems for success and growth.
