Mohajer holds a PhD from Deakin University (Melbourne-Australia) in collaboration with Bristol University (United Kingdom). In addition, he holds postgraduate qualifications in medical statistics, behavioural neuroscience, psychoanalysis, family therapy, and an undergraduate degree in psychology.
Mohajer is highly skilled in the design, implementation, analysis, and interpretation of quantitative and qualitative research to inform programs, policy, and practice. Mohajer has expertise in a broad range of areas including health behaviours and needs, family health and wellbeing, workforce training and organisational sustainability models, service use and unmet needs. He also has experience in conducting research with people from culturally and linguistically diverse backgrounds.

Mohajer is a scientist-practitioner with expertise in the design, development, and interpretation of research in behavioural and social domains to address human and organisation-related factors and concerns in the context of organized work. Mohajer has had experience in the development, implementation and evaluation of organisational monitoring tools, training programs, and skills and behavioural programs. He has mentored early career leaders and developed tailored career development plans. Mohajer utilises knowledge of human behaviour and psychology to address key organisational factors such as management, employee satisfaction, workforce capability, staff retention, occupational health, and safety programs, and develop policies for employee engagement and work-home balance.
